The Story
Hampshire Fitness Centre is a friendly, rural gym between Whitchurch and Overton, offering strength & conditioning, PT (including women’s-only), small-group classes, and a purpose-built bouldering wall.
When we began, HFC’s WordPress site was patchy and fragmented. Joining, booking and managing memberships wasn’t intuitive; the bouldering offer wasn’t clearly explained; forms and waivers lived in inboxes; SEO and analytics were thin; reviews weren’t surfaced.
We rebuilt the site on Squarespace 7.1 with a simple brand kit (colour, type, tone) and navigation built around member intent: New to the Gym / Ready to Train / Love to Climb. We implemented Acuity with dedicated calendars (John PT, Chrissy Women’s PT, Classes, Bouldering), clear cancellation rules and waitlists. A Members Dashboard centralises bookings, PAR-Q, climbing waiver and profile updates. We wrote clean, accessible copy for memberships, classes and bouldering (including footwear rules), added an announcement bar, and set image standards.

The Result
A coherent story and a clean self-serve journey: join, book, sign and train without back-and-forth emails. Reviews are visible, bouldering is explained clearly, admin is lighter, and data is trackable via GA4 and Search Console. The gym is now set for ongoing content (photo/video) and steady growth.
Reflection
This project sums up our sweet spot: story + systems. We pair clear messaging with calm, hands-on ops — migrations, DNS, auth, backups — so the brand feels effortless for members and staff.
